Acorn is now available on EBay!  He is the smallest bear I have made so far at 6-inches.  The perfect size to attach to a Christmas gift or tuck into a stocking.

New bears arriving soon!  Life gets very busy around this time of year and I haven't had a lot of time to sew.  I feel like I haven't been home for more than a couple of hours at a time and when I am I just don't have the creative energy.  I do a have a few that I have been working on and they should be finished in a day or too so please check back!!

Salem is now available on Ebay and Bearpile. I thought I would give Bearpile another shot. There are sooo many artists on there now that I feel like my bears get lost in the shuffle but it is good advertising if nothing else! I don't quite have the hang of uploading pics on blogger yet. I was so used to Webs.com having a gallery page I sometimes forget that my pics don't automatically pop into my slideshow. This one looks a little blurry...

I have been playing with dolls again! Once in awhile I get frustrated with my bears (or they get frustrated with me) and I start working on my prim dolls. I have been making little witches and will post them on Etsy soon. But I will also have a couple of new bears to post as well. We have made up the bears and I. I actually think they get bored with me. I may start posting on BearPile again and if I do I will add that info to the new bears pics.

Howard - New "old style" bear

Here is Howard....he is my newest pattern of a more traditional looking teddy bear. I think he looks very sweet.

I have decided to make a few "old style" bears like I did when I first started bear making and hopefully I will be able to post one in a week or so. I have have created a new pattern for them and I have my fingers crossed on how they will turn out. I have toyed around with this idea in the past but I want to make sure that they look very much like an antique bear and that is harder than it probably would seem. In the meantime, I have an adorable fuzzy pink bear that I'm putting the finishing touches on now and will try to post this Sunday.

I like to list my orphan bears that need a home on Ebay with no reserve every now and then....so my Carnival bear is now up for adoption. I just loved this little guy so much when I made him that I was disappointed when he didn't find a home right away. It just takes that one special person to connect with him I suppose.

I have a new bear to post but I missed my own personal deadline of getting him posted on Sunday. I had to work for a bit on Saturday and that put me behind. I will hopefully get him listed tonight on BearPile and Ebay. He is a light apricot color which almost looks pale yellow at times. His name is Sunnybunch and I hope you will check back soon to meet him!

Welcome to my new website! I am still trying to get everything sorted and uploaded so it is still a work in progress. My old site is still available at carlylebearco.webs.com but I have wanted to switch to Blogger for quite some time now. Introducing Mr. Arbuthnot. He is made from the lightest shade of green mohair. It almost looks tan but it really is a sage green color. He is 10-inches from tip to toe. He is currently available on BearPile and Ebay.
